The Holyoake HCD-ET smoke damper is an elevated temperature version of the HCD-75 and HCD-150 airfoil control damper platform. Designed for tight-sealing smoke damper installations, the HCD-ET combines the precise airflow control characteristics of the HCD platform with the elevated temperature performance required for smoke control applications in commercial buildings.
The HCD-ET smoke damper can be installed up to 600mm from a smoke barrier, providing installation flexibility where direct wall penetration is not practical.
HCD-ET Compliance and Rating
HCD-ET smoke dampers have been tested in accordance with AS 1530.7:2007 with performance requirements from AS 1682.1:2015 for smoke and air dampers. The HCD-ET is compliant with the NZ Building Code Clause C3 and the National Construction Code of Australia for smoke damper applications.

Applications
The HCD-ET is specified where a tight-sealing smoke damper with elevated temperature capability is required — particularly where the damper cannot be installed directly in the wall or floor penetration:
- Smoke control systems where the damper must be offset from the barrier (up to 600mm)
- Smoke exhaust duct systems in commercial, hospitality, and car park applications
- Installations requiring minimal pressure loss when damper is open
- Upgrade from standard HCD-75 or HCD-150 where elevated temperature rating is required
